Our Chance To Dance is an opportunity for students with special needs to learn a combination of ballet, jazz, tumbling and rhythm movement. The children will learn moves to a choreographed piece of dance, rehearsing throughout the year, building up to a recital in May. There are volunteers who work one on one with the students, assisting them during class. Our program helps in building self-confidence in a fun, inclusive and caring environment. The program is taught by Jessica Fuget, jessicafuget@gmail.com and Rebecca Connolly, rebeccaaconnolly@gmail.com, who are experienced in dance, teaching and working with individuals with special needs. Children ages 3 through young adults are welcome.
Funded in part by the Chancy Foundation. Classes are held the first 3 Saturdays of each month October through May.
(except for Oct., which will be 10/17, 10/24 and 10/31)
The fee is $360 for the year.
Oct. through Dec. - $135, Jan. through Mar. - $135, April through May - $90
Our new Dance Room is now complete, thanks to many volunteers.
