Lending Library & Computer Donations

Lending Library (Funded by The Sunfield Foundation and Disability Rights New Jersey (DRNJ)

"A lending library for people with special needs!" The TECHConnection Lending Library provides an opportunity for families who have a member with special needs to learn about, examine and borrow:

• Adapted keyboards, mice, trackballs and touchscreens.

• Adaptive toys and switches.

• Communication aids such as Cheap Talk, go talks and language boards.

• Educational software including language software and switch software.

To borrow from the Lending Library you need to become a member. Membership is only $25.00 per year. The Lending Library is available by appointment only, with weekday and some Saturday availability. Call to schedule your appointment!

Computer Donation Program

We have recycled computers to give to families with a member that has a disability. These computers that have been donated to us by businesses and families for the purpose of this program. These computers are recycled and made available to you upon request. We have both PC and a minimum of Macintosh platforms. Families are asked to donate $20.00 when picking up their computer.

This program could not be possible without the help of our many volunteers. These computers are checked by our volunteer technicians to make sure they are in excellent working condition and cleaned of all viruses.

Donation Requirements:
Must be at least 900 MHz with 256 MB of RAM and have a CD-ROM player. Speakers, modems, keyboards and mouses are gladly accepted; however, monitors are accepted only with a unit. We will accept a unit without a monitor.

How to request a computer:
Call our office for our Computer Donation application. This form will be sent to you for you to fill out and return to our office. When a computer is ready, you will be contacted to come in to pick it up.
