Julia graduated from William Paterson University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in studio art, where she also played Division 3 soccer throughout her time there. Julia has been a lifeguard since she was 15. In college she received her Lifeguard Instructor Certificate and has been teaching at Neptune Aquatics Center since 2015. Julia also manages the pool at Goodsports USA in the summers. This works well with her new role at FRA where she is the skills instructor at Monmouth Medical Center for Project Search which follows a school year calendar. Julia started at FRA in September 2018 to work in the High School Transition Program, then moved into being a teacher’s assistant with FRA’s adult programs. In January 2019 she started working with our adults in supported employment. Julia is very excited about the opportunities FRA has given her and the young adults in the Project Search role which started September 2019.
In her free time, Julia enjoys adventuring with her twin sister, boyfriend and puppy. She also enjoys bowling with her uncle every Monday with his Special Olympics team the Ocean Rollers.
