MICROSOFT OFFICE – Level 1

Learn the basics skills needed to use Microsoft Word productively and efficiently. Create, navigate and save documents. Discover how to edit, copy and paste, and find and replace text.  Learn various formatting options, create tables, and work with graphics. 

MICROSOFT  POWERPOINT

Learn features of Microsoft PowerPoint.  Learn about presenting Text in Tables, Create & Manage Graphics, Add Sound & Movement to Slides, Prepare & Deliver Presentations, Work in PowerPoint Efficiently, Creating Custom Presentation Elements and Saving & Sharing Presentations.

MICROSOFT  PUBLISHER
Class Time:  2 Hours, 4 Sessions, Cost $170

Learn how to use this desktop publishing software application capable of producing greeting cards, certificates, newsletters, and other printed publications.  Learn how to create page elements such as calendars, newsletter sidebars, and borders. Publisher integrates mail merge features, which is handy when you need to send publications to a list of customers, and it's possible to export publications as HTML web pages or PDF documents.

ACCESS DATABASE in MICROSOFT

This course provides students with skills and concepts needed to use Microsoft Access 2013, 2016, or 2010 productively and efficiently. They will learn to normalize data, join tables, format forms and reports, insert background images and charts; and create specialized objects such as lookup fields, subforms and subreports, navigation forms, and calculated fields.

WINDOWS 10 and the Internet

Learn all the essential features of Windows 10. This comprehensive course covers everything you need to know to install Windows, customize it to your liking, and start working with files and applications. Learn how to manage folders, use Cortana to search and navigate, browse the web with the new Microsoft Edge browser, and work with Mail, Calendars, and People (aka contacts).

GOOGLE CHROME Book
Class Time:  2 Hours, 4 Sessions, Cost $170

Chromebook is a different breed of computer. It runs on Google’s web-based Chrome OS, which is designed to be used with an Internet connection. Most of Chromebook’s documents and apps exist in the cloud.  Learn how to use your google chrome book and all the apps that come with it.

QUICKBOOKS Accounting Class

Learn this highly effective yet simple-to-operate accounting package that’s perfect for emerging companies. This comprehensive course teaches you how to set up and track accounts payable and receivable and balance sheets. Examine how to forecast cash flow, produce profit and loss statements, and track income and expenses by jobs or departments.

iPADS

Also known as tablets.  Learn all the different apps that come with your iPad.  Learn how to maneuver the various apps, change settings and learn how to purchase and install apps.

UNIQUE VOICE FILMS
Class Time:  2 Hours, 4 Sessions, Cost $170

Learn how to research, write, cast and film a short video project.  Basic lighting, sound, filming and editing techniques will be taught and exploration of green screen technology will be provided.

TECHConnection is a program of Family Resource Assoc., Inc. committed to expanding resources to all people with unique challenges as a result of illness, accident, aging or disabilities.  Using technology will connect you with education, employment, enjoyment, and community participation.

Individual evaluations can determine appropriate computer access, assistive devices and/or software selection to meet anyone's unique challenges.  Find what is right for you.

  • FREE COMPUTER & ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION CENTER.  Explore your options for using a computer!
  • INDIVIDUAL COMPUTER CLASSES:  Get connected with technology.   We offer a wide range of hands-on computer training that focuses on general computer skills, keyboarding, internet, email, social media, digital media, music media, financial planning and much, much more.
  • ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES: Gain life skills to become more independent in the home, community and in the workplace.  Grow social skills to expand opportunities for volunteering, community service or gainful employment which promotes community inclusion.  All instructors are degreed, or skilled professionals in their field.
  • ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY EVALUATIONS:  Individual student evaluations to determine appropriate computer access, assistive devices and/or software selection for reading and writing challenges.
  • FAST FORWORD:  A computer-based program for individuals who struggle with comprehension, language, reading, listening skills and attention.
  • DEVICE LENDING LIBRARY:  Provides opportunity to learn, examine and take home educational software, adapted devices, switches and communication aids.
  • COMPUTER DONATION PROGRAM:  Our recycled computers can access the internet using Windows 10 operating system.
