Joe Martinelli

Joe Martinelli

Joe has been involved at FRA for more than 30 years since the age of 1 when he enrolled in our infant program. He continued in our summer program and TECHConnection classes as he grew older. He has also used TECHConnection services on many occasions. Joe is employed by the TECHConnection cleaning computer screens at two locations and shredding documents at the FRA office using assistive technology. Joe is a very active man volunteering weekly at Chelsea Assisted Living and Habitat for Humanity. Joe attends classes at Brookdale Community College’s Enrichment Opportunities Program two nights a week. He has co-presented with his mother at various conferences including the New Jersey Self-Directed Conference. Joe has a support staff of four who assist him with transportation, self-care and support him when he volunteers. He actively manages his busy schedule, always remembers appointments and is most proud that he is a good planner. Joe loves being out with people and hates to stay home so you may see him in your travels around Monmouth County. Wherever he goes, Joe enjoys meeting people and telling them all about FRA!
