The TECHConnection at FRA is committed to helping schools incorporate assistive technologies into their classrooms. We are also dedicated to helping community agencies, hospitals, rehab centers to empower their staff and help their clients to gain the knowledge of what is available in assistive technologies. We can do this in a variety of ways depending on the needs of students, classrooms, individuals and professoinals.
TECHConnection, brings several skilled resources to this effort. Through extensive experience, the TECHConnection Team understands the needs of school systems, staff, students and parents as it relates to assistive educational technology. All TECHConnection Team members bring expertise in assistive technology solutions, equipment, software, educational classroom programs, and professional workshops for teachers and staff. In addition, professionals are highly qualified, have between 12 and 20 years experience in assistive technology and most hold a NJ State Certificate in Special Education, as well.

REMEMBER Training is important!
Individual assistive technology evaluations are tools to identify personal needs to help a student achieve educational goals. However, this has only a small benefit to the school, the teacher and to the child when items remain unused. Teachers need training on the item in order to help the student use it appropriately.
